About IFRS

International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) were formulated as a result of a growing need for accountants to use a common international reporting standards in the preparation of company financial statements. These standards are progressively replacing the many different national accounting standards.
They were first proposed in 1996 and have been continuously updated
